How it works.
Not by your co-parent, not by you, not by us. Every message carries an integrity check, so if anything were ever altered it would be detectable on an exported record.
You can see when a message arrived and when it was opened. Not to catch anyone out — so that a genuine misunderstanding has an answer.
Message bodies are encrypted with a key held for your family alone. Our admin tools are built so that staff cannot read message content at all: the code that runs the admin console cannot even reference it, and a test proves it on every build.
Turn on the optional cool-down and GrownUps shows you your own message back for a few seconds before it sends. No AI, nothing leaves your phone — just a pause. It is off by default, and it is yours to switch on.
A push notification on a new message, deep-linked straight to the thread, and an unread badge that provably clears — the count comes from the server, not from a guess on your phone.

Can my co-parent delete a message?
No — no one can edit or delete a message, not your co-parent, not you, not us. Every message carries an integrity check.
Can GrownUps staff read my messages?

Can I export the transcript?
Yes — the whole transcript, free, at any time.
