The early days are mostly logistics, and logistics are easier to agree on than feelings. Start there. Put the schedule you are working to into the calendar, even if it is temporary; log the shared costs as they come up; keep the documents and the children’s details in one place you can both reach later.
You do not need your co-parent to sign up first — everything works for one parent alone, and when they do join, your schedule and records line up with theirs automatically. Setting this up while things are still raw means that when a question comes up in three months, the answer is already written down rather than argued about. It is the least dramatic thing you can do, and one of the most useful.

No. Location on a handover is optional and, if you use it, a single snapshot the moment you tap — never continuous tracking.
